This training will provide an overview of Rule 65G-7 Medication Administration and Revisions, a review of the Medication Administration Training requirements, and examples of how to correctly complete training documentation. Furthermore, you will be provided with clarification on the COVID-19 grace period for both certifications and validations as well as a comprehensive overview of the Medication Administration Record (MAR). This will include instruction on how to accurately complete a MAR at the time of administering medications, transcribe prescriptions, document routine medications versus PRN, and many other routine medication situations.
Overview:
- Provide overview of Rule 65G-7 Medication Administration and Revisions
- Review Medication Administration Training requirements and examples of correctly completed training documentation.
- Provide clarification on COVID-19 grace period for certifications and validations.
- Provide an overview of the Medication Administration Record (MAR):
- How to accurately complete a MAR at the time of administering medications;
- How to accurately transcribe prescriptions;
- How to document routine medications versus PRN (as needed) medications;
- How to document new and changed medications;
- How to document missed medications;
- How to document discontinued medications; and
- How to complete the new controlled count sheets.
