This month’s webinar will be in partnership with the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD). The training will provide an overview of Rule 65G-7 Medication, Administration and Revisions, a review of Medication Administration Training requirements, and examples of correctly completed training documentation. It will also provide clarification on the COVID-19 grace period for certifications and validations. We will also provide an overview of the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and how to accurately complete a MAR at the time of administering medications.

This training will do the following:

• Provide overview of Rule 65G-7 Medication Administration and Revisions

• Review Medication Administration Training requirements and examples of correctly completed training documentation.

• Provide clarification on COVID-19 grace period for certifications and validations.

• Provide an overview of the Medication Administration Record (MAR):
  
  • How to accurately complete a MAR at the time of administering medications;
  • How to accurately transcribe prescriptions;
  • How to document routine medications versus PRN (as needed) medications;
  • How to document new and changed medications;
  • How to document missed medications;
  • How to document discontinued medications;
  • How to complete the new controlled count sheets.
